Kathleen Cooke Mangan is a distinguished attorney hailing from a lineage of accomplished legal professionals stretching back four generations in Northern Nevada. Born and raised in Reno, she is deeply rooted in the community. Her academic journey began with her exemplary performance at Wooster High School, where she was awarded the prestigious International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma.

Expanding her horizons, Kathleen pursued her undergraduate degree at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington, a well-regarded institution that bolstered her intellectual growth. Not one to rest on her laurels, she embraced the opportunity to make a difference as a member of the esteemed Teach for America program in New York City after graduation.

This commitment to education led her to Pace University in New York, where she earned her Master’s degree. Kathleen’s insatiable quest for knowledge, coupled with a steadfast dedication to teaching, saw her return to her hometown of Reno to educate future generations.

Her outstanding academic prowess earned her a coveted full scholarship to the highly competitive William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Remarkably, she balanced her rigorous legal studies with her continued commitment to teaching.

Currently, Kathleen leverages her profound legal acumen in the realm of family law. Her unique perspective, shaped by her own challenging and public divorce and custody experience, allows her to empathize deeply with her clients, guiding them deftly through the complex legal labyrinth.
